Both Manchester City and Manchester United football clubs currently have ships adorning their club badges on their shirts.

These ships hark back to a point in history when Manchester was a major trading port that received cotton produced by slaves in America and the Caribbean.

The time has come for these football clubs to recognise exactly what they are exhibiting on their shirts and merchandise and remove it for good.
