Malshej Ghat (माळशेज घाट) is a mountain pass in the Western Ghats range in the Pune district of Maharashtra, India. The site is nestled in the lofty rugged hills of the Western Ghats. It is situated in Pune district near the borders of Thane and Ahmednagar districts. It is at a distance of 130 km north of Pune and 154 km from Mumbai towards northeast.  It is notorious for landslides during monsoons. Every year many accidents occur due to these landslides and many innocents lose their lives. We lost two of our friends in one such dreadful accident. We are starting this petition to bring attention to this issue so that the respective department can implement some techniques to prevent this dangerous landslides. Tenders for fixing this had been issued but no work has been done yet.

We take this platform to gain support and appeal the Central Government Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to take immediate steps to implement necessary techniques and make Malshej Ghat safer.
