As many of you may be aware London marathon events this year decided to add an ‘opt in’ feature for receiving a medal at these 2 events. Many people missed this when signing up as this has never been before meaning thousands of runners now will miss out on a hard earned medal at either London or Brighton marathons. With many others like myself 100% certain we did indeed select the opt in button but have still received a ‘no medal’ bib. I signed myself and my wife up at the same time yet mine has come with medal and her’s not. 

The event organisers are ignoring us with many not receiving a reply and no official announcement as to what they are going to do.

Please help by signing this petition even if you’re not running in the event or are lucky enough to be receiving a medal. Hopefully with enough signatures it may make them rethink this.
