Make Kim Tae-Ho resign as CEO of BE:LIFT
The Issue
We are writing to formally announce the closure of the petition that called for the resignation of KIM TAE-HO as CEO of BE-LIFT. After careful consideration, we have decided that continuing this petition is no longer a safe or constructive course of action.
Over the course of the petition, a significant amount of criticism and backlash emerged from various online communities. While discussion and differing opinions are a normal part of public discourse, the situation escalated to the point where our accounts and those of individuals associated with the petition began receiving mass reports and harassment. This created an environment that felt increasingly unsafe for those involved in organizing and supporting the petition.
Our initial intention was to provide a space for expressing concerns and encouraging accountability. However, the growing hostility and coordinated reporting placed participants at risk of platform penalties and further online targeting. Given these circumstances, we believe that continuing the petition would not be a responsible or safe approach.
For these reasons, we have made the decision to close the petition and discontinue its promotion. We appreciate the voices of those who engaged respectfully and shared their perspectives.
Thank you for your understanding!
