When the Police are called out to an incident, the Police write a report summarising from their prospective what occurred. This can also include a description of how the person conducted themselves during the Polices's presence. Once this is written it is logged on the database. This information can be called upon by professionals and used to make decisions on that individual. How do we as the public know what is said about us our character or the events that took place? The answer is we dont see and would never know unless requested by the individual. This leaves it open for anything to be said without the opportunity to challenge. The only way to obtain this is through a Subject Access Report. We the people have a human right to know what is being documented. This should be mandatory that once a report is written the person it relates to should automatically get a copy. If things remain as they are this leaves room for malicious statements made on the report and even falsified statements. Now is the time for change. Reports are not meant to be personal, but factual.
