I am a dog walker and on my walks I see many dogs left out in the extreme heat. It is illegal to leave your children out in extreme weather, so why isn't it for your pets? Dogs are considered family members, so why would someone leave them outside in the heat or cold?

I have seen many dogs left outside with no shelter from the sun or rain. They are tied up to trees, fences, and houses with no water or shade. Some of these poor animals have been burned by the sun because their owners don't want to bring them inside during this heat wave.

I have also seen dogs left outside when it's freezing cold! These poor animals are shivering and shaking because they can't stay warm enough on their own. Why would someone do this to an animal that they claim is part of their family? It's cruel!

Please sign this petition so we can make it illegal for people to leave their pets out in extreme weather conditions without shelter from either the sun or rain/snow! Animals deserve better than that! They deserve love and care just like our children do!! Please help me get this law passed!! Thank you!!!
