Every small exchange, whether it involves 1 rupee or 1 crore, deserves the security of a record. Enforcing the obligatory issuance of receipts, irrespective of the type, size, or nature of business, whether organized or unorganized, is a step toward empowering consumers across the board. Countries like Japan have long established strict norms for receipt issuance, which have effectively bolstered their consumer protection frameworks.

It might seem as unnecessary and time consuming at first instance. Like who wants a bill from their local sabziwala or a reciept of 20 Rs. Salt from a local shop from where they usually buy things. That's one way to look at the things. When you go outside for a tour/trip, there it's becomes important as tourists are more likely to be cheated. The bill with price and all other details mentioned on it can make our claim more stronger in case of any trouble with the product or service. The system should be uniform.
