Make iReady OPTIONAL

Make iReady OPTIONAL
Why this petition matters
Make iReady optional at Hunters Creek Middle, students are less likely to do it whenever they feel forced.
I have seen firsthand that students are more likely to do iReady if they are simply rewarded, with say snacks or treats.
At my school, iReady is NECCESSARY. If we do not do it, then our Math and English grades slip. This is causing students to fail. I myself cannot access iReady, as it glitched. I have attempted fixing it, yet it still does not work. I'm starting to slowly fail English and Math, and so are many other students. I contacted my teachers and they do not exempt it, despite me showing proof. This is cruel, the lessons barely help, and the diagnostic is a huge amount of pressure in a short period, causing students who have problems focusing to slip on it, and getting horribly long lessons and they do not learn.
My fourth-grade teacher made the decision to reward students who did iReady with prizes such as snack bags and candy, and the top two students would get subway at the end of the month. This caused many students to do SEVERAL iReady lessons. It's better to simply reward over rewarding if done and punishing if not. It puts pressure and ultimately makes the students have to repeat a lot of things, and overall, less students do it. My fourth-grade math teacher was successful with this, sign this petition to make it real.
