What a pity that a law which prohibits animal cruelty was passed by our visionary leaders way back in 1960 but their successors have failed them and their dream of making India a cruel free nation. A nation where humans and animals coexist with harmony and peace. The laws are still greek and latin to the majority of Indians. Schools do not teach them nor do colleges. Majority of the policemen, municipal corporation employees, bureaucrats and well to do people are unaware about this most beautiful law.
Unfortunately the young minds do not know that the mute animals too feel pain as we do.
If the young minds of India knew that an animal too feels physical pain and mental trauma then most likely they would not have used it as a toy. Just watch these mischievous boys who are using a dog for their amusement as if its a toy in their hands.

It seems these boys have never been taught compassion towards animals. Neither by their parents nor their teachers. And they have no idea that this act of theirs amounts to cruelty against animals which is a punishable offence.
This is a case of Greater Noida where a dog in a society has delivered 6 puppies (Pic in the post). There are more than 22 dogs living in the society and only 4 caregivers who feed the dogs. There are around 250 families who are mostly dog haters and along with the RWA they have made the life of the caregivers and the dogs miserable. The caregivers are really worried for the safety of the pups as they fear that the people might kill them or relocate them. To read in detail kindly go on the link below:

Just imagine there are just around 30 dogs including the new borns and there are around 254 families living in the society. Out of which 250 hate dogs. Hatred is the main problem and this is what needs to change. To convert this hatred into either love or fear. Love for dogs or fear for law. At the moment there is neither love for dogs nor fear for law. Many don't even know that killing dogs or relocating them is a punishable ooffence.
A vehicle has hit a puppy and killed him. Just watch the video to see how the mother dog is crying for her baby. Mother is a mother. Her pain is no less than a human mother. Shame on we humans who many a times deliberately kill these helpless animals on road.

Well if the pup was too small and the driver missed seeing him then what about a cow. Can a human driving a vehicle miss a cow on the road?

Cows give milk to the owners which means money for them. Dairy is a big business in India. Why aren't the owners penalized for letting their cows out on the road???????? There should be legal punishment for the owners of cows and buffaloes who leave their cattles to die on the road.
The Sansad TV which is a govt channel has recently done an interview with a leading lawyer and an animal rights activist on the two most important laws: Prevention of cruelty to animals act 1960 and Wildlife Act 1972. The program talks about our rich animal laws and how over the years judiciary has helped in strengthening them by their landmark judgements.
