Delhi administration is quite weak when it comes to punishing the law breakers and protecting the law abiders. Especially when it is related to animal laws.
The Chief Minister of Delhi in his latest appeal to the public during the lockdown has asked them to feed the poor and the needy in their colony. This, was indeed a wonderful gesture but he forgot the birds, dogs and cats who too stay in almost every colony of Delhi and are wholly dependent on we humans for their food and water. What about them? Poor people may not be in every colony but there is not a single colony in Delhi which has no stray dog, cat or birds. And why do we forget the monkeys, cows and buffaloes. There are so many of them who are stray and walk on the streets of Delhi.
Has the Delhi govt come out with any financial aid for them? Have they come out with any plan for them? Do they have any road map for the voiceless during this lockdown period?
If not then the least the CM could have done was to ask people to show some compassion towards the voiceless. Compassion is something which is quite missing in the hearts of the people of Delhi especially the RWAs.
Recently we saw how Dr. Gautam Unni a vet in east Delhi was harassed by the RWA and forced to shut down his clinic. The police have done nothing. His clinic is still shut down in spite of the guidelines issued by the Home ministry that veterinary services shall remain open during the lockdown.
Today on 31st March another case of cruelty towards a small pup was reported from East Delhi. The pup was very mercilessly beaten by a brick. This is the message which has gone viral on social media:
"Again a killer on rampage. Mayur vihar 1 at shashi garden, a mobster hit a baby with a brick. Vandana has called the police and we need to help her tomorrow. Please let me know what can we do??'
The pic in this post is of the same pup.
In another incident which took place in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad (Delhi NCR) a man very ruthlessly ran his car over a stray dog and killed it instantly. The whole India is in lockdown and people can move only if they are on the list of essential services. Then how come this man came in a car in his relatives / Freind's house?

The financial capital of India is no less than the capital of India. There seems to be a race between the two as to who is number one in cruelty towards its animals.
In a society in Mumbai the residents came down to object a caregiver from feeding the birds. The pigeons. The society people have even hired bouncers to beat them and get them removed.
What can be more obnoxious than this. Watch it to believe it:
