The AWBI sent letters just few days back to all the states saying that feeding of animals must be made operational even during lockdown and that animals do not spread Corona virus.

Did the state governments take any measures to bring any kind of public awareness about feeding the dogs and that they are safe and cannot spread the virus? There are still rumours going around that dogs and cats spread Corona virus. Many people have even abandoned their pets.

Except few states like Jammu and Rajasthan most of the states of India including Delhi have made no  public awareness. The chief minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot has made a public appeal to feed the voiceless so that their lives too could be saved during this 21 day lockdown.

Well, India has handful of leaders who are truly humanitarians, who see humanity in totality and one of them is definitely the chief minister of Rajasthan.

Today people all over the world are fighting against Corona virus which has engulfed the world.

Chief Ministers of all the states of India are also busy fighting the virus in their respective states. They are trying to provide food, water and even shelter in some cases to the poor and the homeless  living in the cities.

Delhi too is currently facing this massive problem and the Delhi Government is trying very hard to cope up with this new challenge. They are doing everything possible which is within their means and capacity.

But they could have also shown a bit of compassion towards animals and the caregivers.

The least they could have done was the following:

1 create awareness amongst people that dogs and animals do not spread Corona virus. So please do not abandon your pets.

2 be kind and compassionate to animals near your surroundings. Give them just a piece of bread / chappati and water.

3 issue E passes to the animal feeders.

What the government is not realizing is that no human being today wants to go out of his house because they are scared of catching coronavirus.

The caregivers are brave hearts who still want to go out and feed their furry friends. Nowadats many of them are finding it hard as their family members are not allowing them to go.

To get feeder passes they are  physically going to the DCP office which is generally a crowded place.

Now how is that helping in maintaining social distancing or restricted movement?

Wouldn't it be more appropriate to issue E passes to the caregivers? Many state governments are already doing it for other services including Delhi government then what is stopping them from issuing e passes to the caregivers?

COVID-19 is the outcome of our brutal and ruthless ways of exploiting and torturing the nature especially the animals.

But it seems many have still not learnt any lesson from it.......they are still busy harming and torturing them. Especially the man's best friend.
