Many caregivers are worried for their voiceless friends who may have had no food and water for the past 5 days.

During lockdown commuting on roads is completely banned. All commuters need to have passes or some authorization. The caregivers have none.

On 26th March 2020 the PFA's representative Ambika Shukla who is also the Director of the Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre, got the feeder passes made for the caregivers belonging to all the Delhi. Zones (North, South, East, West and Central). She did it  with the help of special commissioner of police Robin Hibu (IPS). The feeders are now to collect the passes from their respective zonal DCP office.

Thank God at least the passes have been made for the feeders in Delhi. And thanks to PFA and Mrs Shukla who made this happen. The passes are very important for those feeders who have to commute long distance to feed the dogs. There are many caregivers who feed dogs near their office places or places which require commuting.

Both the centre and the state are doing everything possible to contain people in their homes and not allow them unnecessarily on the streets. This is very much required if we want lockdown to be successful.

Police are stopping people who are not authorized for commuting. Unfortunately caregivers without passes were stopped from commuting. So these passes are the only life line between the caregivers and their furry freinds.

But the drawback in the pass is that the caregivers have to physically collect their passes. For many it means commuting which the police may not allow so getting the passes from the DCP office is also quite a job for the feeder.

The Delhi govt has announced giving E-passes  to the authorized  people. Wish they could do the same for dog feeders as well. It would have saved the caregiver from going to any office

The feeders of Delhi are hoping that the Delhi Government will soon start issuing e-passes to the feeders as well.

Anyway the feeders of Delhi are still.lucky that they have got feeder passes. There are many in other parts of India who are still struggling to get passes to feed their dogs .

To know what is the kind of conversation taking place between feeders from.various parts of India kindly go to the link below:

There is also a shortage of dog food in the market and the caregivers are quite worried.

Delhi government kindly issue E-passes. It will not only help the feeders but also help in maintaining lockdown. Currently they have to physically go to the DCP office to collect their passes.

There is also a shortage of dog food in the market and the caregivers are quite worried.

State governments should  make provisions for animal.fodder and dog food. The animals will starve to death if food does not reach them .

In this time of crisis India is United. The Prime Minister of India as well as all the Chief Ministers of every sate of India are working towards the common goal of fighting COVID -19.

To save human life is definitely a priority but  have some consideration towards animals too. They too have a right to food and water.....
