Life of both stray dogs and caregivers has become a hell. People keep relocating the dogs and caregivers helplessly keep looking for them and fighting for their rights.
Just a few days back Anita (M-9716308312) got two siblings Bhoori and Laali back after they were relocated by two men if her colony.
Another victim of relocation this time is Shera. According to Anita he was relocated last month by men of her colony. He was removed on 15th November and Anita after a lot of searching got him back on 20th November.
These men have again relocated him. He has been removed from the area on either 24th or 25th December and Anita came to know of it on 31 December.
Anita stays in Manokaamna Apartment, Sector 4A, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad. The apartment has 15 blocks. Anita stays in Block 3 and Shera used to stay in block 15. As soon as she came to know of Shera's removal she lodged a complaint with the police. But till now the police has taken no action.
The accused who has relocated the dog the second time is Sanjeev Kumar Dhawan (M-9871692078) He has no fear of law and he thinks he has done a heroic job. And of course majority of the residents must be patting his back as if he has hunted a lion and protected the residents from being killed by it.
Dog removal has become a regular feature in Anita's colony. In the last incident the police threatened the accused and then they took Anita to the location where the two siblings had been dropped. Anita spent hours together and searched for three continuous days before finally she found the dogs.
This time will Anita be lucky to find Shera?
It's been 5 to 6 days now and it's freezing cold in Delhi, NCR. The chances of the dog surviving this cold without food is quite dim.
To add to Anita's agony on 31st morning Pradeep Kumar Mishra (M-8527385343) the RWA (Resident welfare Association) President of the colony has sent a WhatsApp message to all their residents urging that they all sign the request to get a dog removed from Block 13 as he bites people. The letter also criticises the dog lovers and the caregivers of the colony who are protesting the relocation of the dog and holding them responsible for creating hindrance in its removal.
Will Anita be able to stop her RWA from removing another dog from block 13?
Why doesn't the AWBI ( Animal Welfare Board of India) take any action against such RWA? They are doing something illegal then why aren't they getting any warning from the legal system of India? Such RWAs should be dissolved and debarred. And its members should be disqualified for life from being elected again as member of RWA.
Just how many times will Anita run to the police station and spend countless hours and days finding the relocated dogs?
Why isn't the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation not telling the residents of Ghaziabad the dog laws?
Is lodging of police complaint and fighting with the neighbours and the RWA for the protection and survival of the stray dog the duty of the caregivers alone?
What are the Municipal Corporations doing?
They have not even informed the RWAs of their area about the ABC programme and the dog laws.
That is the bear minimum that they should have done many years back. Lack of awareness and weak enforcement of laws are the two main causes for the plight of stray dogs and the caregivers in India.
