Since his first appearance in a Robot Chicken Star Wars special, Gary the Stormtrooper has become a fan favorite in the Star Wars community. For years we have seen his non Canon adventures in Robot Chicken, shared some laughs and seen where the Galaxy has taken him. Thought his adventures we have seen he is more than comedic relief and very great characters. I believe that it is time for LucasFilm and Disney too make Gary the Stormtrooper Canon to the Star Wars Universe. I will give you some facts and reasons to why he should be made Canon.

1: Gary is a flawed character. He doesn't usually take his job as a Stormtrooper seriously. He has almost been or has been late to work several times and when he's there, he does more harm than good. But when going gets tough he will try his best for the sake of his fellow Stormtroopers. We do love flawed character and seeing them progress and grow over time and Gary has so much potential to grow.

2: He's a family man. Gary is more than a Stormtrooper, he a husband and father. It's clear that Gary is a Stormtrooper to provide for his wife and daughter and he doesn't get to see them that often because of it. He tries his best for them and there are times he could have done better. But when it comes to his family, he will stand up to anyone even Darth Vader himself for them. And we all know Vader's history with people who make his mad.

3: It shows that it's not all good vs evil. Some of the Stormtrooper are probably just people trying to get by. They probably do it for their families and may not even enjoy all that much.  This could also make him a little relatable to people who don't like their jobs but do it anyway. This could be show that not everyone in the empire is pure evil like The Emperor.

This is what I and I hope other think of Gary the Stormtrooper. He more the a funny character, he is the GOAT that both the franchise and the Star Wars community need and deserve.
