THE FIGHT IS NOT OVER!

Mark your calendar: Tuesday, July 8
Location: Gallatin City Hall
Event: Gallatin City Council Committee Hearing on the Foxland Harbor Marina proposal
Time: 6 pm

On Monday night, the Gallatin Planning Commission determined the Goodall Marina plan is a MAJOR change, sending it forward to City Council for final consideration. What news outlets are not reporting is critical: the initial vote to advance this plan FAILED. The Commission was deadlocked 2-2-2, and no side prevailed. Listen to their discussion HERE

In a troubling and unprecedented move, Chairman Harris misapplied Robert’s Rules of Order, calling for a reconsideration of the failed vote, despite voting on the (No) side, which disqualifies him from doing so as no side prevailed in the tie. That motion was improperly allowed. The commission then voted a second time, this time advancing the plan with a 4-1 vote.

This is a violation of procedural integrity. It is a disgraceful abuse of process and a blatant insult to every taxpaying citizen in this city.

Let us be clear: this is not just about a marina.
This is about 250 boat slips, a restaurant, an entertainment venue, and 113 condominiums - a massive commercial project wedged directly in the heart of our quiet residential neighborhood.

Thank you to every single resident who stood up, spoke out, and showed up to oppose this development. Your voices are powerful, and we must grow even louder. Over 100 of you attended the planning commission meeting wearing red.

Now, the City Council has the final say. We must not back down!

Here is what you can do:

Show up on Tuesday, July 8. Your presence matters. Fill the room. Let them see your opposition. Wear red.
Call and email the Mayor and City Council Members. Demand accountability. Demand transparency.
Spread the word. Tell your neighbors. Share the facts. Do not let them silence our community.
Listen to the meeting recording and stay informed.

The only thing consistent about this project is how often it changes. We cannot afford to be silent or complacent.

The future of Gallatin is being written right now.
Make sure your voice is part of it.
