Fatphobic jokes in social media are all too common. I am sure that everyone seeing this petition has seen at least one of these jokes in Tv shows, books, and/or movies. These jokes are horrid and can seriously affect plus size people and how people envision plus size people, for example, the stereotype that plus size people are eating 24/7. 

My vision is a world where people do not have to put up with fatphobia every time they try to relax. It is mentally and emotionally taxing, and can lead to diet culture and eating disorders. If we can create a law stating that publishing fatphobic jokes is illegal, I'm sure we would see a decrease of fatphobic people and ideologies in new generations.
