Now, I know this may sound somewhat silly, but hear me out. A continent is defined as any of the world's main expanses of land, also meaning that a continent must be a continuous mass amount of land. So, how is Europe a continent? Is that to say that we should also split Africa into two different continents? Some may make the argument about culture, but a continent is not based around culture, it is based on geography. I believe there should also be official regions that differ from continents. Some would consider Asia to have different regions which I agree with entirely. Another argument could relate to tectonic plates, as the plate that covers Europe and the majority of Asia is in fact the Eurasian plate. If there were to be another continent, one that would make sense would be the Arabian Peninsula, as it has its own tectonic plate and is somewhat separated from Asia by seas. I understand there is not a set issue that is apparent, but I believe we as people should categorize geography correctly.
