Make Enbridge and the EPA Clean-Up the Michigan Oil Spill Properly

Make Enbridge and the EPA Clean-Up the Michigan Oil Spill Properly
The Issue
On July 26th, 2010 a pipe owned by Enbridge Energy leaked over 800,000 gallons of toxic crude oil into Talmage Creek in Marshall, Mi. Talmadge Creek flows in to the Kalamazoo River, which flows throughout residential and commercial areas in Battle Creek, and Galesburg, Mi.
Enbridge CEO, Patrick Daniel, PROMISED under oath in front of Congress to restore the river to as good or better than before the spill.
The problem is that the EPA is the regulatory agency over seeing the clean up efforts. A former clean up worker, John Bolenbaugh started documenting short videos of what was really going on with the clean-up effort. Workers were instructed to throw oil into the woods, cover it up with cut grass and even plant grass on top of the oil. The EPA had "cleared" many areas where oil remained and was not cleaned up properly. When John came forward and "outed" Enbridge's shady clean up efforts, he was fired.
As a Community Activist I had already had my issues with Enbridge from day one. I had mostly been protesting the liability waivers they had been tricking residents to sign, to avoid being sued later on. So when I heard about the oil being covered up and left behind, I became very active in holding Enbridge and the EPA accountable to clean up MY community right.
John and I have went to numerous City and County Commission Meetings. We have went to meetings held by the EPA. We have made our findings public, having posted videos on youtube and facebook. (on youtube search 'John Bolenbaugh') We have went to the media. We are trying to do everything we can to make sure that Enbridge cleans this up to our, (the community) standards.
The oil that was spilled is 'Tar Sand Crude' very toxic to humans, animals and the environment. What we are needing is any support no matter where you live, to show that people do care and that large companies need to be held 100% accountable when something like this happens.
