Make E-Motorcycles/Surrons Street Legal

California passed a law in 2020 to ban Surron bikes from roads and streets; however, teenagers are only trying to have fun and end up purchasing Surrons anyway, often running from the cops and breaking laws. Instead of promoting responsible riding in a safe and controlled environment, the ban encourages risky behavior. Allowing more purchases of Surrons would contribute to eco-friendly transportation, especially considering there are over 200,000 car accidents a year compared to fewer than 25,000 injuries from e-bikes. Accidents will occur regardless, so banning an entire vehicle type is counterproductive. Moreover, actions like wheeling would become illegal for both Surrons and e-bikes, leading to unnecessary legal trouble. The main difference is that while Surrons are faster, so are cars, yet cars remain legal on the roads. Legalizing Surrons could create a safer, more regulated environment for riders while still promoting eco-friendly transportation.
