I have always loved the ocean. Its vastness, its beauty, its mystery. But over the years, I've seen it change. The once pristine waters are now polluted with plastic and other trash discarded by humans. It's not just an eyesore; it's a death sentence for countless marine animals who mistake this garbage for food or get entangled in it. Also some fishes ate plastic, so if we eat those fish we will get health issues. 

According to a study published in Science Magazine, 8 million metric tons of plastic waste enter our oceans each year (Jambeck et al., 2015). This is equivalent to five grocery bags filled with plastic for every foot of coastline in the world! And if we don't act now, there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean by 2050 (Ellen MacArthur Foundation).

I propose a law making it illegal to dump any form of trash into our oceans. Violators should face stiff penalties - either a $2000 fine (any amount of fine in different currencies equal to 2000 USD) or two years imprisonment - as deterrents against such harmful actions.

Our oceans are not just beautiful; they're essential for life on Earth. They produce over half of the world's oxygen and absorb 50 times more carbon dioxide than our atmosphere (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). We owe it to ourselves and future generations to protect them.
