Make Dog Walking Great Again for Pineda Ridge!

The Issue

I stand with numerous community members who have become victims of an overzealous neighbor. This individual has taken advantage of the ambiguous wording in the Brevard County code and the prudent follow-up policy of the Sheriff's office to stroke their ego and wield power over the neighborhood.

This has resulted in fines for dogs pottying on HOA-owned grass, walking dogs with leashes longer than 6' on our community's privately owned sidewalks, and indirectly resulted in fines for pets not being registered, as a result of Animal Control following up on complaints.

We will not stand for this tyranny! We declare that walking your dog is not a crime! Join us in MAKING DOG WALKING GREAT AGAIN in Pineda Ridge!

We hereby urge the HOA to issue the following statement or similar clarifying the HOA rules:

“The DC&Rs only state that a dog must be on a leash so as long as your dog is on a leash we don't care how long it is. As implied in the DC&RS, Your dog can potty anywhere on HOA property as long as you pick up the poop.”
