Discord users and Nitro users, this is for you.

Most every social media-esque platform allows users to completely customize their profile with a bio, profile picture and banner. This is true on Twitter, Tumblr, Youtube, Twitch and more. 

The popular social media sites that don't use banners are Instagram and Pinterest, which rely on photo based posting and can get away with it. However, even on Pinterest if you have a business account you can add a banner. Similar to Youtube, where Youtubers use them to advertise and link their other socials. This can be beneficial for people on Discord as well.

Most importantly, Discord is for socializing. They've already introduced banners to us as a way to customize and personalize our profiles, but instead we must pay 10 dollars a month for it. All it is, is a png.

I believe now is the time to start acting on this and spreading the word as there is already a lot of controversy around Discords recent updates. Let's go further.

We can make it goofy like they do on Twitter. We can make it aesthetic. The point is that all users can get the freewill to choose what they do with their banners, instead of weakly choosing a color on the color wheel and calling it a day, or paying $10 to give it more pizazz. It's just ridiculous.

Discord can keep their additional profile mechanics in the Nitro benefits. Rainbow-ify your chatting experience if you must. They can even add more, better benefits to Nitro that will actually be worth it for those avid Discord users.

But it's just unnecessary to pay so much for a feature that you get free on most other platforms that advertise to the same sort of demographic. Twitter being my best example here.

I say if Discord wants us to pay for a personalized png on our silly little profiles, they can add it to the Nitro basic. Either way I'm not paying for it anymore. It is stupid, and too much monthly for something cosmetic. It's a waste of money & I hope everyone starts to realize that.
