Students taking the AP Spanish Language and Culture Exam in 2023 received an unfair testing experience. The audio sections of the exam were almost entirely incomprehensible, making it extremely difficult for students to perform the multiple choice section, as well as the conversation section of the exam. The audios provided sounded very muffled, as if the speakers had their mouths touching the microphone. If Collegeboard happens to not lower the curve for this year's exam, this would result in a plethora of students not passing, letting hundreds of dollars go to waste, even if students were fully fluent in the Spanish language. This, coupled with the normal testing anxiety most students experience, makes it very difficult to pass this examination.
