Rep Barton and Senator Ward are sponsoring a bill to make cock fighting a felony in Alabama. They need our support to curb this brutal business in which birds are forced to fight, frequently to death, for the amusement of humans. This barbaric practice is a felony in all but 10 states. Treating cock fighting as a misdemeanor contributed to why Alabama was ranked 45th out of the 50 states based upon our animal protection laws.
