We petition Yash Raj Films (YRF) and major national theater chains (PVR INOX, Cinepolis, and independent screens) to institute an annual holiday re-release of Chak De! India every Independence Day weekend. More than a sports film, Shimit Amin’s masterpiece embodies the truest ideals of modern India—unity over regionalism, empowerment over prejudice, and quiet strength over spectacle. Bringing it back to cinemas every August 15th gives audiences an inspiring, shared big-screen celebration of national identity. 
Watching SRK film on Independence Day, should be new normal.
