CapCut has introduced CapCut Pro over the years. This was acceptable before 2023 and 2024, when the app decided to remove features that were previously free and place them behind a paywall. 

Old and new users who have been on CapCut since before CapCut Pro was introduced can no longer access these features that were previously free.

Features such as slow-mo for videos and audios, motion blur, text fonts, video and body effects, animations, transition effects, stickers, retouch, automatic background removal, noise reduction and stabilization, filters, and templates have all been moved to CapCut Pro. They have added ads to qualify this app as free, but it is not. The majority of the features that were once free on this app are now considered CapCut Pro and are locked behind a paywall. They will continue to lock things behind a paywall and eventually make the entire application CapCut Pro.

As users, we are unhappy with this and want these features to be given back to nonpaying users, who have a right to be upset at the features that have been taken away from them to extract money from their bank accounts by putting these things behind a paywall. Placing a CapCut Pro pop-up each time a person opens the app and exports a video is upsetting and even more aggravating to non-paying users whose passion is slowly being stripped away because CapCut is growing greedy.
