Make Canada's Wonderland More Accessible for Families with Young Children
Make Canada's Wonderland More Accessible for Families with Young Children
The Issue
Every year, thousands of families visit Canada's Wonderland with toddlers and young children. Many of us come specifically to enjoy Planet Snoopy, KidZville, and Splash Works.
Unfortunately, these family-focused areas are located at the far end of the park from the main entrance. Parents often spend 15–20 minutes pushing strollers or pulling wagons filled with children, diaper bags, snacks, and other essentials before reaching the attractions designed for young kids.
By the end of the day, the same long walk back to the entrance can be even more challenging. During hot summer weather, this journey can be exhausting for families and difficult for grandparents, pregnant guests, and visitors with temporary mobility limitations.
Canada's Wonderland has done an incredible job creating attractions for families. Now it's time to make getting to them easier.
We respectfully ask Canada's Wonderland to explore practical ways to improve access to the children's areas, such as:
Creating a secondary entrance closer to Planet Snoopy, KidZville, and Splash Works.
Installing moving walkways along major routes to reduce long walking distances.
Exploring an internal transportation system, such as a tram, shuttle, or elevated pedestrian walkway, to help families reach the back of the park more comfortably.
We understand that not every solution may be feasible, but we hope the park will consider ways to improve accessibility for the thousands of families who visit each season.
If you believe Canada's Wonderland can become even more welcoming for families with young children, please sign this petition and share it with others.
Together, we can help make every family visit a little easier.
