My son is just starting year 11 and is considering his options for the next steps in his education. Now, as he moves towards sixth form, the situation changes drastically. If he decides to remain at the current sixth form, transport becomes an out-of-pocket expense.
The financial burden of travel costs also impacts the option for him to attend a different sixth form or college, potentially limiting educational opportunities based on our family's income. This is a significant concern for many families who, like us, may not have the means to cover these additional expenses. Education should remain accessible, irrespective of financial constraints, for every child.
