Bo Peep is a character from the Toy Story franchise who first appeared in the original movie. She's one of my favorite characters in the franchise! She's a shepherdess doll with a cane and has three sheep which are actually one sheep with three heads. She's part of Andy's original toy gang along with her sheep. She's also Woody's girlfriend as well. Here's a summary about her in the franchise: (Spoiler Alert!)

In the first Toy Story, Bo Peep was first seen in the beginning during Andy's playtime when Woody saved her sheep from getting killed by Mr Potato Head AKA One Eyed Bart. When Andy was very excited about Buzz and seemed to leave out Woody, Bo comforted and supported Woody. When he accidentally knocked Buzz out the window and everyone turned against him, Bo was the only one who believed Woody was innocent. At the end of the movie, she kissed Woody several times on the face when they were under the mistletoe. This is currently the only time Bo Peep kissed Woody in the whole franchise! 

In Toy Story 2, Bo once again comforted Woody when he was worried about Andy not taking him to cowboy camp. When Woody got kidnapped, she stayed behind while Buzz and some of the other toys journeyed out to rescue him. She wasn't seen again until the end of the movie where she and Woody were spending time together. She also appeared in the Toy Story 2 video game as well.

In Toy Story 3, Bo Peep was absent unfortunately. I think I heard one of the reasons why Disney-Pixar left her out was because they couldn't fit her in the story somehow. However, she wasn't totally absent. She was briefly seen in the flashbacks in the beginning of the movie and was mentioned that she got sold along with other toys like Wheezy who was also absent. I really missed her in Toy Story 3! However, she was featured in the Toy Box Mode in the movie video game.

In Toy Story 4, Bo Peep finally made a comeback after being absent from the franchise for 20 years since Toy Story 2!! (9 years if you count the flashbacks of Andy's childhood in Toy Story 3 and the Toy Box Mode in the video game adaptation.) The fourth movie came out in 2019 which was the year of the 20th anniversary of the second movie which was in 1999! Bo Peep also looked kind of different in the movie but in a good way. She even changed her outfit as well. Her sheep, whose names were revealed to be Billy, Goat, and Gruff also returned as well. She had a very prominent role this time. She was much more independent and adventurous than her old self. It was also a bit of a love story between Woody and Bo Peep as well. In the beginning, which was a flashback, after rescuing RC (who was never seen again for the rest of the movie) from the storm outside Andy's house, she got sold (just like how they mentioned back in Toy Story 3) and had to say goodbye to Woody. Later on, he and Bo had cute reunion at the carnival and had a grand adventure to bring Forky back to Bonnie. Bo also had a new cute tiny friend named Giggle Mcdimples as well. Bo also mentioned to Woody that she was a lost toy and was traveling for 7 years. She didn't have any kids adopting her all this time and liked it much better that way which made her and Woody's relationship complicated. At the end of the movie, Woody decided to stay with Bo Peep and became part of the lost toy group along with Giggle Mcdimples, Duke Caboom, and Ducky and Bunny. But sadly, they never kissed much to my disappointment!! I really felt like they were so close to kissing!! But their relationship was still very cute though.

Several months later Disney-Pixar came out with a Disney+ exclusive short film called “Lamp Life.” In the movie, Bo Peep told Woody what happened to her the whole time since she got sold sometime after Toy Story 2. This was her most recent major role in the franchise as well as her most recent appearance in general.

Disney-Pixar recently announced Toy Story 5 and is scheduled for release this summer in June. I'm very excited about it! I also heard Bo Peep will return but there's just one huge drawback though: I heard that Bo will supposedly have a small role. While I'm very grateful that she will return at least, I really believe she deserves a major role again! Here's the thing that bothers me: After Bo had a supporting role in Toy Story 2, almost completely absent in 3, and made a full comeback in 4, they're sidelining her once again? Not only that but Woody and Bo just reunited after being apart for a very long time and now they're possibly getting separated again? This is so unfair and doesn't make sense!!

However, there may still be hope for Bo Peep and her sheep. I slightly heard there might be a Toy Story 6 in the works possibly. However, I'm still not totally sure if another movie will actually happen. In fact, I don't even know if Bo Peep will be a major character or even return at all. It's still too early to tell. I guess we'll have to wait for Toy Story 5 to come out and see from there. 

Bo Peep needs to be part of the adventure again! Despite the fact that she's a lost toy in Toy Story 4, she's still part of the original toy gang from the original movie! Her story can't be over, especially since she's Woody's girlfriend! Speaking of Woody and Bo's relationship, we still need to see them kiss on the lips which is something that should've happened in the fourth movie! We can't let Toy Story 4 be the last movie in the franchise to have Bo Peep as a main character!! Not only that but we also can't let her be absent again like in Toy Story 3!! If Bo Peep and her sheep really will end up having a small role in the upcoming Toy Story 5 like they said, then Toy Story 6 could be Disney-Pixar’s chance to not only include Bo but also make her a main character again like in Toy Story 1 & 4! If they really have a Toy Story 6 in the works, then I believe now's the time to try to urge them to bring Bo Peep back into the spotlight! Please sign and share the petition!!
