All sleepers should have 2-way zippers for equal accessibility access.
Why this petition matters

As the mom to a baby and now toddler girl that has a g-tube and requires access to her button through her clothes for her feeds, it is extremely frustrating to have to pay exorbitant amounts for adaptive clothing or put holes in the seams or fronts of sleepers. I feel that if I am paying at least $10 for a sleeper for my child, special needs or not, I should have access to her abdomen and diaper without having to half undress her.
I bought sleepers from stores like Walmart, BuyBuyBaby, and Carter's that have a 2-way or inverted zipper for my daughter when she was in size newborn up to size 6 months. In fact, HALO sleepsacks all have inverted zippers as well. My first child was healthy and didn't have any issues that required tubes going through the abdominal area of her sleepers. My life would have been so much easier if I could have used sleepers with two-way or inverted sleepers to avoid having to take her feet out and expose her abdomen to the cold air for every diaper change.
Inverted sleepers that start at the bottom mean I can attach my daughters feeding pump to her g-tube and close her sleeper without creating a hole and I can close it most of the way leaving just enough room for the pencil-sized tube to be attached without leaving the bigger hole I have to make in the side to be able to feed it through that lets the cool air in through the hole and makes her cold. 2-way zippers have the same benefit! Unfortunately, these sleepers only go up to size 9 months or 6/9 months. When your baby is bigger than that but you still need access, you have to make an access hole yourself or pay extra for special adaptive clothing. This is unacceptable when 2-way and inverted zippers on all sleepers would benefit all moms and caregivers!
Please consider signing my petition so that all parents, caregivers, and kiddos, those with special needs and those without, have the same access to clothing for their children that doesn't cost $30 extra for a feeding tube hole.
