We, the citizens of every country on the planet Earth, demand an end to the use of deadly weapons for aggressive purposes.

There are over 100 million displaced people in the world. If there was one country with just those people in it, it would be the 15th largest country in the world by population. 

100 million people who, according to the UN charter for human rights, have a recognised legal right to a peaceful existence. That’s 1 in 78 people on the planet who have had their basic human rights violated by aggressive military acts of war. And our own peaceful existence seems less and less certain every day.

Billions of us are suffering substandard education, healthcare, social services, and government services. Why? Because the wealth of our nations, an incredibly large amount of money, is being spent on bombs and bullets and weapons that create nothing, and only cost valuable lives when they are used. That money could be spent on education and healthcare, two vitally important aspects of our lives that are consistently underfunded while an enormous portion of our tax money fills the bank accounts of weapons manufacturers. 

The progresses in technology and in living standards would be exponential if all the people of the world were educated to their full potential.

We demand that all countries adopt laws that explicitly state that those who order the use of deadly weapons on the citizens of another country (or indeed their own country) shall be guilty of murder or attempted murder and that those who order such attacks shall be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. 

We demand that all world leaders recognise these aggressive acts for what they are, and that there be no powers of Veto against prosecuting such acts. We demand that those who pursue greedy and vicious conquest be stripped of power. Our countries cannot be properly lead by those who would profit from destruction.

Yes it’s ambitious, but it let’s start by showing them how many of us want to see an end to war in our lifetime. Right here, right now. This is the time for us to get together to make war history.
