Petition to Make America Safe Again: Demand Legal Protections Against Racial Violence and Injustice
To: U.S. Congress, State Legislators, and Lawmakers Across the Nation and to all U.S. Citizens
For too long, African Americans have faced racial violence, discrimination, and systemic injustice without sufficient legal protection. Hate crimes, police brutality, and biased judicial rulings continue to put Black lives at risk. We can no longer wait for change, it is time to demand action.
We, the undersigned, call on lawmakers to pass legislation that will:
1. Make racially motivated harassment, hate crimes, and violence against African Americans punishable by federal law, ensuring swift and strict legal consequences for perpetrators.
2. Hold law enforcement accountable by enforcing mandatory de-escalation training, independent investigations into police brutality cases, and severe penalties for officers who abuse their power.
3. Ensure equal treatment in the judicial system by requiring bias training for judges and prosecutors, establishing independent oversight committees, and enforcing fair sentencing guidelines for Black defendants.
4. Provide financial compensation and legal resources for victims of racially motivated violence and discrimination, ensuring they have the support needed to seek justice.
Why This Matters:
1. According to the FBI, hate crimes against Black Americans remain the highest among all racial groups.
2. Studies show that Black individuals are disproportionately targeted by law enforcement, leading to unjust deaths and wrongful incarcerations.
3. Other minority groups have been granted federal protection ”it is time for African Americans to receive the same legal safeguards.
How You Can Help:
Sign this petition and demand that our elected officials take immediate steps to make America safe for all its citizens. After signing, share this petition on social media, email it to friends, and encourage others to join the movement.
Together, we can turn this demand for justice into real legislative change.
