Within the last several weeks several popular fics have been revealed to be almost completely AI generated after a skin was created by a user. When copied directly from Claude, the source code stays intact, revealing AI generated content.  One of the most notorious being Super Soaker from the Byler fandom (where I'm hailing from). The fic went back up today with zero warning or tags on the AI usage despite the fic being almost 90% generated by Claude. 

As an author and reader myself, not disclosing AI generated or assisted content is a direct violation of informed consent. Our time is being wasted by AI generated content without our knowledge. Authors content is being scraped and used to train AI without our knowledge or consent. 

All AI generated content on Ao3 should be required to have an archive warning as such. It is unfair to steal peoples time and content without knowledge and it is time we hold AI users accountable for their lies. The warning should be completely required. 

No AI without warnings! It's a direct violation of everything archives stand for! Keep AI out of fan fiction!
