We are hoping to accomplish the implementation of road traffic calming measures along the A59 between the Mellor Brook (Thwaites brewery)  roundabout and the A677 intersection.

This stretch of road has been notorious for major road incidents and in some cases fatal, for sometime now. This is despite BAE Systems moving the main entrance to site from the old layout.

As a matter of urgency, we would like BAE Systems and other businesses to address and resolve this issue with the local council, before there is another major/fatal accident.
