I have fond memories from summer of 2023 when I, along with countless other fans, watched 'Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken' in theaters. It was a masterpiece from DreamWorks Animation, and has since taken a special place in my heart, standing next to classics like 'Shrek.' Unfortunately, despite its gusty storytelling and heartwarming narrative, 'Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken' did not succeed at the box office and prematurely disappeared from our cinemas. Just like 'The Boss Baby' from the same illustrious production house, this heartfelt film deserves its own TV series and sequel.

Either the show takes place before the sequel (as well as after the end of the first movie) or after the sequel. But I don't want Ruby to grow up as an adult, I want her to stay at her age just like in the first at the end.

And we also do NOT want a Ruby Gillman TV show to have a bad animation and writing like what happened to Megamind Rules (2024). We have to have a good animation and writing for the show.

We, the fans and believers in imaginative storytelling, urge NBC and DreamWorks Animation Television to consider the potential of 'Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken.' We have seen the magic brought into our homes by 'The Boss Baby' television series. We believe that a TV series adaptation would not only revive this underrated film but also introduce it to a wider audience, helping it gain the recognition it deserves. Moreover, NBC has a history of successful collaborations with DreamWorks and has the power to make this reality.
