Born on June 1st 1999, Alexander Technoblade was among the most successful and famous Minecraft YouTubers in the world. He was known for his charismatic and competitive personality, his jaw dropping skills behind a mouse and keyboard, and much much more. Which includes beating Dream in a 1v1 match orchestrated by YouTube superstar Mr. Beast and beating Minecraft in hardcore mode with a steering wheel. However on the last week of June in 2022, Technoblade passed away due to the effects of sarcoma cancer. His death has left his audience and the friends he made in life devastated beyond belief. Twitter (or X now) even blew up over his death. Technoblade’s legacy has been left in the hands of his father who took on his late son’s career and worked with the content creators his son knew and loved the most. Some content creators who don’t play Minecraft would like to think that Minecraft YouTubers are considered to be either gay or pedophiles. But let me assure you that Alexander Technoblade was not the definition of those awful stereotypes. He was more than a content creator in his own way and tons of people respected him for what he was capable of. Hence his statement: “The only thing that works in this world is that you treat others the way they treat you. Those who’ve treated me with kindness, I will repay that kindness 10 fold. And those that treat me with injustice, that use me, that hunt me down, that hurt my friends… I shall repay that injustice a thousand times over”. And that he did on several occasions. Not only did he live up to his own statement, but he also made his audience laugh in amusement about almost everything he does in his videos. Technoblade deserved to have recognition for all the things he’s done for YouTube and Minecraft as a whole. Which is why I propose to make a national month long holiday for him. From June 1st to June 30th, fans of Technoblade will buy and wear his merchandise and watch his videos on YouTube (or videos relating to him) to celebrate the life and times of Alexander Technoblade and his journey to fame and glory with the help of bad jokes, hating on orphans, trolling his friends, and making people smile along the way. It will be celebrated casually as Pride Month was celebrated so that there are no contradictions or controversy surrounding the month Techno Month will be celebrated in. I believe that by putting this petition into action, we can help the Minecraft YouTuber community give something to celebrate over to keep the memory of Technoblade alive for generations to come. With that being said, I urge everyone seeing and reading this petition to go sign this petition and subscribe to Technoblade on his YouTube channel! And buy his merchandise as well! Because by doing so, Technoblade will never die. For in his videos and by celebrating Techno Month, Technoblade lives on. ���️
