We would like to increase pedestrian safety measures for children, parents and community while construction sites are located on main accessible routes to school grounds.

For the following reasons:

vehicles accessing the entry gate to construction site during school zone hours which is located next to the school entrance.

There is an increased heavy vehicle presence in the area which compromises the children safety enteringg and exiting school grounds.

The Foreman of the of the construction site has neglected to provide sufficient measures to ensure the safety of children parents and the community entering and exiting the school as it is the main route to enter school grounds and exit school grounds 

Our concern as parents and fellow community members is that we have witnessed YOUNG CHILDREN running on too Smith St due to footpath been NOT ACCESSIBLE to public during SCHOOL ZONE HOURS and THROUGHOUT THE DAY

There has been too many close calls it is up to us as a community to stand and ensure the safety of not only our own children but the children of our neighbours 

Please take the time to share and sign before irreversible damage occurs not only will a child be injured due to lack of responsibility  and safety but the mental well-being of any child who witnesses
