The people have spoken - we are weary of Donald Trump's many lies and insults.  He has deliberately misinformed the populace to the point people's health has been endangered. He has encouraged a culture of intimidation against citizens who disagree with him.  He has mocked the vulnerable.  

Mr. Trump has used his position as President of the United States to accomplish these things.  The Press have had the sometimes distasteful task of being his accomplice, distasteful because it's their job to report on his declarations; yes, those in the media have been used as his mouthpiece.  Unfortunately some media outlets appear to have become accustomed to acquiescing to Mr. Trump's demands for an audience regardless of the content or veracity of his claims. 

Now as Donald Trump's presidency draws to a close, we respectfully ask the Press and major social media outlets to please only relay what Mr. Trumps says if it is true, or if it is of critical importance for Americans to know.  We ask that both during his remaining days in office and especially afterwards, you resist providing the wanton attention Mr. Trump is accustomed to receiving in the interests of remaining in the spotlight.  We are not asking for censorship.  We simply believe that at this juncture, the media can well afford to apply a greater degree of good judgement in what is truly needful or interesting for the public to know. 

Ultimately engagement with the media will be more enjoyable and of greater value to consumers.  Our quality of life will improve.
