The Klang Chetty Padang has served the Klang Community to host various occasions and events.It groomed many sports personality.A training ground for many footballers,hockey and athletes.

The Chetty Community townhouse and the Hindu Temple beside the Chetty Padang .The community  were financers to the local businesses which also contributed the progress of Klang town.

The famous historically event the "Klang Strike" in the 1941 by the plantation workers, from the estate around Klang ,assemble in this very Padang and march to Klang Police Station which was housed in Gedung Raja Abdullah beside the present South Klang Police Station.It was a challenge to British govt of Malaya.

The Klang folk call the authority to reinstate its name as Chetty Padang.The younger generation should be deprived of knowing the true history.Also calling the Padang Chetty to be registered as an heritage site (tapak Warisan).
