To Majesty Recep Tayyip Erdogan the president of the republic ot Turkey

We are worried about the arrest of Abdullah Bozorgzadeh in Ankara, Turkey.
Abdullah is an human rights activist from Balochistan. He has a legal residence permit to settle in Turkey and does not pose a threat to the security of the host country, as reported by the police as a reason for his arrest.

Abdullah is human rights defender for the oppressed Baloch people in Iran and now he runs the risk of being deported to Iran where he is very likely to be punished with death sentence or a long prison stay.
He has already been sentenced to 11 years in prison in absentia, for defending the rights of Baloch in general and for defending the rights of 41 Baloch girls who were raped by elements of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

I appeal to the Turkish government, led by Majesty Recep Tayyip Erdogan the President of the Republic of Turkey to refrain from deporting Abdullah to Iran and to grant his asylum in Turkey.
