Maintain a Sanofi 2-Day Office Requirement

The Issue

We are frequently told by Sanofi Senior Leadership that the employees, the people who work for Sanofi, are the company's most valuable assets. We believe that, and we truly love the company we work for, which is why we have completely acquiesced to the new Global Hybrid Work Policy. However, we feel that 3 mandatory days in the office significantly disrupts our work-life balance.

A 2-day requirement will allow us to fulfill office obligations while also managing personal responsibilities effectively. Many employees, including myself, have structured our lives around this balance, allowing us to be productive and focused while at work, and attentive to our families and personal lives at home.

The third mandatory day in the office sets a precedent that diminishes flexibility and could impact employee satisfaction negatively. It is crucial to consider the broader impact on morale and productivity. Numerous studies have shown that more flexible work arrangements lead to happier employees and, consequently, better performance. For example, a 2022 Gallup survey indicated that employees who spent more of their week working from home reported a 15% increase in job satisfaction, thereby enhancing overall company productivity.

Our request is simple: change the current Global Hybrid Work Policy of 3 required days in the office, to 2 required days. This policy not only supports employee well-being and productivity, it also reinforces Sanofi's commitment to its employees as its most valuable assets. The hybrid work policy at 3 mandatory days in the office sends a message that departs from these values.

We hope Sanofi will listen to us, its dedicated workforce, and show that its employees still matter, continuing to prioritize the human aspect of its organizational success.
