The issue

This petition serves to find how many households and properties in Nairne SA 5252 would prefer to receive mail delivered directly to their property.

Presently and historically residents, business owners, and others in Nairne, no matter whether rural or suburban locality are required to either collect their mail and parcels from the Nairne Post Office or to lease a PO Box to receive mail.

This issue has been voiced many times by locals and it appears to remain uncertain what percentage of locals and those affected would prefer street/property delivery vs those who would like to continue using a PO Box or the Post Office without any option for home delivery.

It is clear some reasons for wanting home delivery include:
 - working during Post Office opening hours, therefore being unable to collect from counter

 - costs associated with leasing a mail box 

 - access issues, due to things including but certainly not limited to transport, weather events, disabilities, social concerns, environment and surrounds

 - health and safety

 - privacy and confidentiality

It is the hope that with a new survey in the form of a petition this issue can be settled once again for a period of time.

With huge developments on our door step and already begun in some locations it is clear that future issues with the current system may include car parking, number of available post boxes, and more.

By signing this petition and IF changes are made there will be no provision to be forced to receive street delivery. The present set up and options will continue to be available to everyone just as they are in most other suburbs around Australia.

By signing this petition you are acknowledging that you want to give people more options for their mail delivery and being more inclusive especially of people with varying needs, abilities, disabilities and access limitations.
