Maheshtala Municipality having a population of 5.48 lacs and Budge Budge Trunk Road being the main road for reaching main Kolkata. However due to construction of flyover from Batanagar to Zinzirabazaar the BBT road is crippled. The throughfare which normally takes 30 minutes is now taking more than 1 hour. But looks like the goverment is turning a blind eye cititng completion of flyover. The flyover would only serve private vehicles but thousands of people who travel by public transport is made to face hell ride everyday. Petetion to Maheshtala Municipality to immediately undertake repair work to ease the life of common people.
