Dear all,

Today night, around 1 am, society residents witnessed a horrible mishap that could have easily become a serious Fire accident but for the bravery shown by few residents and maintenance staff. Following is the status of Basic & essential amenities available for Mahagun Mirabella residents despite payment of premium prices. The issues have been raised again and again by the residents in the past 20 months at multiple fora but no respite till date:

- Against a provision of 3 DG Sets (2000 KV), only one (500 KV) has been installed
- The Fire fighting system hasn't been completed thus far. God forbid, if yesterday's mishap would have turned into a serious accident, the system wasn't ready and there could have been serious life threats.
- The Lifts are not working as per standards and maintenance is of poorest standard. In the past months, there been 2-3 reported incidents of free fall and residents remaining stuck in the lift for a long time.
- The Swimming pool hasn't been completed yet and the residents are paying heavy premium money for the promised service.
- The Intercom facility, a basic necessity for internal communication has not been installed in all flats and like everything, the management doesnt care to get it completed on priority.
-  The existing security system is not of even basic level. Again there have been reported cases of theft/ breakage inside and outside the society.

It is ironic and pitiful that for these basic incomplete amenities, we have paid 100% of money for the flats and also premium maintenance charge (@ Rs. 5/- (approx. per sq ft per month) has been taken for 2 years by the Builder in advance. Apart from these most essential issues, other 35-40 point issues has been shared with Mahagun frequently on mail. So, there can't be a situation worse than this, wherein despite paying all the money, that too at a premium price, the basic level of amenities aren't available and critical systems like electricity/ backup DGs, fire fighting and lift are in shambles risking the life of residents of a 'so called premium society.'

It's very high time to  come from our comfort zone for the time being and meet/show our strength to the builder.
