On August 28th, 2020, the staff of Magia Record announced that they were planning to shut down the English servers permanently within a month. It seems to be a very hasty decision, and it has baffled and saddened many players in the English Magia Record community. Although the English community for the game is small, it is a very happy and welcoming place, and shutting down the servers forever will quash that community and leave all of its members scattered. It may not seem like a big deal to some people, Magia Record has brought many people together and provided so many cherished memories for its players, and it seems cruel to take it all away. Even though it is unlikely to make a difference, I decided to start this petition and circulate it in English Magia Record fan communities in the hopes that maybe the devs will see the support its garnered and reassess their decision, as it could potentially prove that the English servers aren’t a financial liability.
