It has come to my attention that the name 'Ngannelong' is not yet proven to be the traditional name of hanging rock.
As the author of this petition I intend to investigate this further.
Early records of the name are not easily accessible, I am looking to speak to local representatives of the indigenous community to gain more information on this.
One thing is certain, Traditional owners did not call it 'Hanging Rock'
