Unvaccinated students should not be required to submit to weekly testing

The Issue

By requiring unvaccinated students to submit to weekly testing East Carolina University is violating student's rights to make their own decisions in the land of the free by punishing those who think freely. Also, students who are discriminated against by this policy will be spending their time and money in order to comply.  Testing may be "free" but there are other costs that students will be facing. This is shown both by their rights being violated as Americans as well as in time and money. There are many students who rely on working while in school to survive, and this policy will take their critical time away resulting in lost wages that students depend on. Also, the cost to Americans' rights can not have a price put on it and will set a precedent that will result in future deterioration of the rights and freedoms of all Americans.  As students of East Carolina University, our voice will be heard and we will not surrender our rights and liberties to an institution that is funded by taxpayer dollars as well as student tuition.
