Yesterday the ILMS wrestling team was supposed to start their first day of practice.  30 minutes before school was released we received an email that wrestling practice was canceled.  After scrambling to make sure our children were picked up on time, we found out that Lydia Quinn had decided to decline Coach Matt Carnes employment application due to Marijuana charges he had when he was 18!  Mr Carnes was able to be an assistant coach last year with our kids in the same school but this year, it is a problem for Lydia Quinn despite the parents wishes in this case.  Mr Carnes has two children at ILMS and on the team and has been an active role in the community for 10 years.  I feel that holding this against him is taking away from our children and that our voices should be heard on this matter.
