Please sign our petition to place an immediate ban on the sales and distribition of prong collars. 

A prong collar has sharp metal teeth on the inside, these barb and point their way into the skin causing extreme pain, discomfort and immediate obedience.

There is no need to impliment these in dog training. It is a barbaric practise used on both short haired and long haired dogs alike and a torturous device which belongs in the middle ages, not around the neck of a family pet in 2014.

The statement below is taken from the ironically named  'Luv My Dog' website and is decribing the attributes of the 'Neck Tech Sport.' collar. This contraption when tightened buries its way into the flesh of the victim without causing alarm to members of the public due to hidden spikes. The covert procedure for concealing the abuse of the animal is noted in their text. http://www.luvmydog.co.uk

'The enclosed design of the Neck Tech Sport conceals the prongs and reduces the side profile' making this prong collar very discreet without the need for a nylon prong collar cover.' 

I think you will agree that this is outright abuse. Love my dog are aware that what they supply is wrong yet persist in cruelty for profit. Why else advertise a collar with a feature which covers abuse? 

I urge you to speak to your local MP's, without an actual ban of these collars, without an active law against them they will continue to be sold and used in the UK.
