Michigan spends over $2 billion a year on incarceration, yet provides minimal support for rehabilitation or reentry. We cannot keep investing in punishment while ignoring human potential.   
It’s time for Michigan and the Nation to adopt a new model—one based on rehabilitation, skill-building, economic mobility, and measurable outcomes.
